The real reason behind the arresting of Harry Connick Jr.'s Daughter Georgia !!

Harry Connick Jr.'s daughter was reportedly arrested over the weekend after a house party at her family's New Canaan, Connecticut, home.
Georgia Connick, 19, has been charged with permitting minors to possess alcohol and procuring alcohol for minors, NBC reports.
WTNH reports that the teen's parents – Connick Jr. and wife Jill Goodacre – weren't at home at the
time of the party and that Georgia told officers she had planned to host a small get-together but several other people showed up.

"This is a private matter which we are dealing with as a family," the American Idol judge told PEOPLE in a statement on Tuesday. "We have no further comments. Thank you for understanding."

Police reportedly received a call just after 1 a.m. on Saturday claiming that underage drinking was occurring at the residence, according to NBC. When police arrived, they saw partygoers running from the house and into the woods nearby and found several empty and open beer cans.

Georgia is due to appear in court on Sept. 2.
